Chambers Cove Trail

Take a walk along the cragged coastline where the survivors and rescuers of the USS Truxtun strode on a tempestuous night in 1942.   Pass Iron Springs, cross the Memorial Bridge and the path splits; Chamber Cove Trail will lie straight ahead, and left is the Bergeron Trail.

Roughly 40 minutes into your hike, you will find a gazebo where the paths meet.  Stare out across the deep blue of the Atlantic, sheer cliff faces, and rocky beaches deep below.  Ascend stairs and find the Echoes of Valour monument, honouring the Truxton and Pollux disaster, and the lives that were lost.

Continue on to reach Pinnacle Head, a high peak looking out over Chamber Cove and Lawn Point; it’s an unforgettable view!
